A picture is worth a thousand words.  A clear image helps you to effectively display your product features, but you are reminded to publish images that are created by yourself or your agent.

Basic tips to improve the Product Photos

When displaying products, make sure the product photo is:

  • Less than 1MB in size.
  • Photo background (Canvas) must be square in shape
  • Photo must not Exceeds 80% from the backgrounds

                               

  • JPEG (.jpg) Gif, or PNG format.
  • File name should be in English or numbers.
  • Preferably to have a one Color Background (white is recommended)

You can set 4 photos for each product.  Photos could be of different angles of this product. 

 You can add more photos – max. 10 photos more in Detailed Description part.

Product photography is important. In fact, it’s so important it might be the difference between making a sale and losing a lot of customers. Your Store visitors will always be drawn to an image before they read the text on the page, which means you need to be sure that your images look awesome.

You might be thinking that you are not yet a professional, but that does not matter at all. we are going to provide you with plenty of tips on taking professional product photos, without having to break a Bank.

6 things to consider when planning your product photography:

1. Choose a certain number of images.

The first thing you need to consider when planning your product photography is how many images you want to show off. you must to give sellers an option of adding many product photos (Maximum 4 Images). actually important to keep the amount constant for every product. As a general rule, think about showing three images for every single product.

2. Make use of the image to highlight the Advantages.

Import Bulk products

Import Product/Products List using CSV (Comma delimited) 

  1. Go to your dashboard —– click on Products —— you will find the import icon in the top right of the products page, Click on the import Icon

2- you will be transfer to the import page, you will have to choose CSV file from your computer which you prepared in advance with the product/products full details

Click on browse to open a window with folders in your computer to choose the required file to upload

NB. File must be CSV format (Comma delimited) to be accepted

After choosing the file, click continue

3- Map CSV fields to products:

you will have now to map the fields in your uploaded file to it’s right exact field in your product page.

in the page left side, you will find the the columns as written in your uploaded CSV file.

In front of each field you will find another field in the page right side, which you will have to assign it to your file field, for example; product title in your CSV field must be assigned in the product name in the product columns

4- After assigning your file Fields to the products fields, you have to click on “Run the Importer” button.

After the import is finish, you will be directed to the products page to Edit any, or to submit to review.

NB. Images will not be imported, just the rest of the Products data, you can upload the images buy the regular single way, by Clicking on Edit product, the, upload the images in the product adding page

Do I need to sign an agreement with Aumland

Yes. In the last step of the registration process you must read the contents of the agreement and select the box to accept.

We might ask you later to manually sign in the contract and submit it, If required, we will send you a notification in your dashboard

How to write the product title?

The main purpose of the title is to attract attention of visitors who browsing the search results page .

  • The product titles on Aumland can be a maximum of 110 characters. You must provide an accurate description of the product.
  • Do not misuse keywords: creating a confusing title with many keywords (such as mp3, mp3 player, mp3 player music) will not help you and will significantly reduce the click percentage.
  • Remember to avoid false descriptions in the title. For example, the vendor sells MP3, but to get more visibility, insert the description of the word “MP4 / MP5” in the title, this is a violation of the platform regulations and at the same time, the product will be reported by the buyer because of the wrong description.

What are the requirements of the platform for uploading images?

Images uploading requirements: Less than 1MB, JPG,JPEG format; width and height proportion 1:1 (pixel greater than 800*800) . All pictures should have the same width and height ratio.

The body of the product should take up more than 70% of the picture. All pictures should have a consistent style.

It’s not allowed to have any contact details or names on the image

Pirate photos or photos without proper usage rights are subjected to platform rules and punishments.

Do I have to add the price of the product with VAT?

Yes, the price that you must include in the product at the time you are creating it must include VAT.

What is SKU?

For example, if a product has more then 1 color, then the product will have more SKUs. One Shirt has red, white and blue and each color corresponds to a different SKU code.

This makes it easy for sellers to manage their products and send the right products to customers.

How many products can I publish in my store?

At the moment there are no limits, you can decide the quantity of products according to your product category.

Should I add product details in both languages?

Yes, it’s very important to add the details of the products in English & in Arabic. It will help to gain the organic traffic and reflects your interest of business

The short description typically appears beside or under your product image on its page depending on Customer device. Use this for a brief overview of your product.

How to improve product details?

After a buyer finds your products through searching or browsing, you need to present them with a compelling offer on the product detail page. An effective product detail page entices buyers to buy your products.

  • Inspiring product images

Effective product images stimulate a buyer’s imagination and inspire them to buy your product; Evaluate your image quality based on these guidelines:

  1. The image matches the product description in size, color, and so on.
  2. The product occupies at least 80% of the image area.
  3. The entire product is depicted in the image.
  4. The product is recognizable.
  5. The image is a photo and not a drawing.
  6. The photo is taken at a flattering angle.
  7. The product is focused and well-lit.
  8. Close-up shots are not obscured by highlights or shadows.

How to add a ready similar product from catalog?

If your product has a similar in our catalog, you can use the “Add fm catalog” function on the right side of the main dashboard menu.

Please note that after adding the product, you cannot change the category. but you will have the freedom of changing any product details you wish to fit to your selling product

How to add a new product?

  • Go to the left side menu and ad hover onProducts tab to open a side button “Add new” and Click.
  • Or you can click on the circular icon in the bottom right side of the dashboard

NB. If you clicked on Products Tab you will go the your products List

Upon clicking on “New product“, you will be transferred directly to the new blank product page :

  • First blank page is to choose the type of your product:  you have to choose one of the following: Simple product, Variable Product Or Grouped produc
  1. Simple Products: Simple products have one SKU, are shipped, and have no variations/options. For example, a book
  2. variable Products: Variable products can have multiple variations/options, each of which may have a different SKU or price. For example, a piece of clothing that is available in a variety of colors and sizes an maybe prices.
  3. Grouped Products: Grouped products are related products that can be purchased individually. Note that, grouped products can only consist of simple products. For example, an iPhone could be a grouped product as there are 8GB, 16GB, etc. variations of that same product parent.

  • Product Image: This is the primary image of your product. It will be used for the thumbnail, catalog, and as the first image on your product page.
  • Product Gallery: Product gallery images will show up as small thumbnails under your main product image described previously. Product galleries, for example, could be used for alternate views of your product.
  • Products short description

The short description typically appears beside or under your product image on its page depending on Customer device. Use this for a brief overview of your product. Save details for the long “description” (described below), which typically appear within the product description tab.

Add your product Full & Detailed description in the “Description” field

Please note that the good seller is the seller who can make a full, honest & promotional detailed product, which attract the visitor and push him towards the the buying final decision,..

  • Product Categories and Tags: Use categories and tags to organize your products in the categories & Filters
  • Inventory

If you have products that will sell out, be sure to enable “Manage Stock” at the product level. If selected, a stock quantity field will appear where you can enter/add your quantity. This number will reduce automatically as orders are placed. out of stock items can be hidden on the front-end of your Store. On this tab you can also specify if you would like to allow back orders of out of stock items or if they are to be sold individually.

  • Shipping
  1. Enter the weight, dimensions of your product as per hereunder image. The weight and dimensions of your product are required because this is will be used to calculate rates.
  2. Choose the processing time you need to be able of delivering the product to our shipping representative

Attributes

Here is where the differences between simple and variable products begin like colors, sizes, …..etc. In the following example, we will use an attribute : Color.

Select color from the drop down menu and click color check box. select the required product colors “which you will sell”. If you would like to remove any options, click the x next to the term name.

Select visible on the product page if you would like customers to choose from these Colors. Then, click used for variations if each color has it’s own sku/price/weight/etc.

Make sure to click save attributes as these will not be visible on the variations tab until you do so.

  • Variations

On the variations tab you will add all of the product data for each individual attribute.

Click (+) to add variation. Select the name of your color or size,..etc from the drop down menus. Then, fill in the product data for each size. Note: variation price is required or the variation will not show up on the front-end

If you fill in all the product information for your variations, you will now be able to see them on the front-end of your store on your product page.

  • Linked Products

Here you can add up-sells and cross-sells to your product, which is a great way to drive extra sales and increase revenue!

Up-sells are displayed on the product details page and encourage visitors to view other products. Think, “You May Also Like…”. An example of an up-sell would be to offer some of your other products to a visitor who is viewing an your store  t-shirt. for example

Cross-sells are displayed on the cart page and relate to the product(s) that your customer has in their cart. For example, if your customer has an iPhone in their cart, you may also suggest that they also purchase a case.

To add, simply start typing the name of other products you have already added and select. (Tip: you may want to add all of your products first and go back to do up-sells and cross-sells so you have your full inventory to choose from)

Advanced

On the advanced tab you can set up an optional purchase note to be sent to the customer after purchase, a custom ordering position, or enable/disable customer reviews for the product

NB. Purchasing note must not includes any contact details

Disable reviews is not recommended at all because it will affect in your ranks and products appearing

  • Submit to review

After filling all the product details, you will have to click on L”

Submit to review“: to send your product to review (The review process takes maximum 24 hours)

  • Translation

After clicking on “submit to review“, the product page will be reloaded,..then you will find in the right bottom the “translate to Arabic +“,..which you have to click on “+” symbol to be transferred to the product Arabic page which you will have to fill only:

  1. Product Title
  2. Short Description
  3. Long description

them you will have to submit it also to review

Products Listing Dashboard

To view products that have been created, go to Products in your Dashboard left menu. At the top of this screen you can view the standard filter and search area. A list of products appears in order of date made:

 

You can:
  • Filter by status using the status links at the top
  • Filter by category
  • Filter by the product types
  • Search
At the far right of each product are actions you can perform on the row:
  • View
  • Edit
  • Duplicate
  • Featured Mark
  • Delete
You also have some useful options at top right of the screen:
  • Add New Product
  • Stock manager
  • Product Export
  • Product Import

Ledger Book

Ledger Book will going to give you most easiest way to check all your store transactions – commission, withdrawal, refund, partial-refund and charges as well.

You will have a new menu item under your dashboard -> Ledger Book
Store total transaction history statistic visible at the top of the page –
  • Total Earning
  • Total Withdrawal
  • Total Refund

All transactions are visible as credit-debit format.
You can also see transaction type, details and status of that transaction.
